Advice

Three Important things for being successful during internship:

A) Listen to your mentor. Don't procrastinate, when you mentor asks you to do something, make sure you understand the task and then do it. Something that always made my mentor happy is when she'd ask for us to set up a room or file paperwork, she could return in 10-15 minutes and see that it's done.

B) Don't take everything to seriously. Your mentor is your boss, but also your friend. Not everything is strictly professional so it's okay joke around. Obviously there is a time and a place so you can't always be joking but know that it's okay to laugh during work, unless you work at a Mortuary.

C) Make sure you develop a system. It's important to have a rhythm to things, a pattern, especially in menial work that you'll no doubt find yourself doing. For the data collection, I had a 4 step process. Transfer Data digitally, update paperwork, delete old paperwork, and send to boss. Just make sure you have a process.

And a bonus tip of advice, make sure you give your teachers the correct adress to your site, and not you home adress/
